The Atlanta Braves signed lefty reliever Jonny Venters to a one-year contract Wednesday, thus avoiding salary arbitration, braves.com reports.

Venters received a one-year, $1.625 million deal that was identical to his 2012 salary. He missed the entire season with his second career Tommy John.

"I'm pumped to be sticking around," Venters said via text message.

Venters has a 2.23 ERA in 230 career apperances over just three seasons.
