Atlanta Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez has been named one of three finalists for the National League Manager of the Year.

Fredi G joins the Pittsburgh Pirates' Clint Hurdle and Los Angeles Dodgers' Don Mattingly as the three finalists, of whom a winner will be announced on MLB Network on Nov. 12 at 6 p.m.

Gonzalez was tasked with leading a Braves team to 96 wins while the bullpen was racked with injuries, most notably to Eric O'Flaherty and Jonny Venters, while Dan Uggla and B.J. Upton had career-worst seasons, and after Tim Hudson broke his ankle in August.

All that, and Gonzalez still managed the team to their first division title since 2005.

Also, the Braves' 279 wins under Gonzalez since he took over in 2011 is the most in the National League over that span.
