Baseball's Veteran's Committee will vote next month on the National Baseball Hall of Fame Expansion Era ballot that will feature three prominent managers of the past generation, Bobby Cox, Tony LaRussa, and Joe Torre.
The sixteen member committee will vote on a 12-man ballot that also includes manager Billy Martin, players Dave Concepcion, Steve Garvey, Tommy John, Dave Parker, Dan Quisenberry, and Ted Simmons, former Major League Players Association Executive Marvin Miller, and famed New York Yankees owner George Steinbrenner.
An announcement of this year's elections will be made on December 9 at the winter meetings in Orlando.
Candidates must receive 75% of the vote, or 12 votes to be elected. Each of the sixteen committee members may vote for five candidates.
The annual players ballot will be released on November 25 and will include first-ballot greats such as Tom Glavine, Greg Maddux, and Frank Thomas. The Baseball Writers Association of America did not elect any players from last year's ballot.
The 75th anniversary Hall of Fame induction will take place in Cooperstown, NY at the Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum during the weekend of July 27-28, 2014.
