There will only be one difference in the Atlanta Braves' coaching staff in 2014. Brian Snitker has been reassigned to manage Triple-A Gwinnett. Doug Dascenzo has been promoted to take Snitker's place as third base coach.

Dascenzo spent 13 years managing in the San Diego Padres minor league system before spending the last two years as the Braves' minor league baserunning and outfield coordinator. He'll take a similar spot in terms of coaching with Atlanta.

"We had a need for a Triple-A manager and we had the need to have an outfield and baserunning coach at the Major League level," Braves general manager Frank Wren said on braves.com. "We had every other aspect and discipline covered. We just didn't have [baserunning and outfield play] covered as well as we would have liked."

After assembling an outfield of Jason Heyward, Justin Upton and B.J. Upton – all of whom have 30-30 potential when healthy – the trio only combined for 22 stolen bases with B.J. leading with 12.

Snitker has spent the last seven seasons as the Braves' third base coach after spending two decades in the Braves minor league system. He's been with the organization since 1977. He's also replacing Randy Ready at Gwinnett's helm after just one year.

Wren says Ready was let go due to "philosophical reasons."

Bench coach Carlos Tosca, pitching coach Roger McDowell, bullpen coach Eddie Perez and hitting coaches Greg Walker and Scott Fletcher will return next year with one-year contracts. Fredi Gonzalez's contract also runs through the end of the 2014 season.
