The Atlanta Braves won't have to worry about facing Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp, who is out for the rest of the season with a left ankle injury, the Associated Press reports.

Kemp has already missed 52 games while being on the disabled list because of said ankle, but an MRI taken on Kemp's ankle Sunday reveal microscopic swelling in one the major weight-bearing bones.

This is a major blow to the Dodgers, who will also likely limit Andre Ethier to pinch-hit duties while he deals with his own ankle injury.

The Braves and Dodgers start their National League Division Series on Thursday at Turner Field.
