With just three games left in the regular season, the Atlanta Braves have lowered their magic number to clinch homefield advantage through the National League Championship series to three.

With their win over the Philadelphia Phillies on Thursday, the Braves tied the St. Louis Cardinals for the best record in the NL. The Braves own the tiebreaker, so that leaves Atlanta in first place.

A magic number of three is any combination of Braves wins and Cardinals losses that equal three. Mathematically, the Braves could clinch homefield advantage by Saturday.
