After only mustering two hits in a shutout loss to the Milwaukee Brewers, the Atlanta Braves now have the National League's second best record, falling a half game behind the St. Louis Cardinals in their quest for homefield advantage.

The Cardinals beat the Washington Nationals on Wednesday afternoon, which, combined with Atlanta's poor post-fight showing against the Brewers, gave them a slim lead heading into an off-day Thursday.

The Braves start a four-game series against the Philadelphia Phillies on Thursday, so a win would technically put the Braves back in first place since they own the tiebreaker.
