The Washington Nationals squeaked out a 3-2 win over the Miami Marlins on Thursday, meaning the Atlanta Braves' magic number to clinch the National League East remains at two.

As it stands, the Braves could clinch as early as Friday night if they beat the Chicago Cubs in the series opener and the Nationals lose to the Marlins.

Whenever the Braves manage to clinch, it'll be their first division title since 2005.
