The Atlanta Braves got some help in their quest for the National League East title from the Philadelphia Phillies, who beat the Washington Nationals on Saturday, cutting the Braves' magic number to four.

The Braves beat the San Diego Padres in a close game Saturday to move their magic number to five. Magic numbers to clinch a division are a combination of the leading team's wins and/or losses by the trailing team.

As it stands, the Braves could feasibly clinch as soon as Monday when they visit the Nationals.
