Dan Uggla Misses Chance to Redeem Himself in Atlanta Braves Lineup

A day after Dan Uggla vented to the media about how he felt Fredi Gonzalez needed to put him in the Atlanta Braves' lineup, he completely blew his chance to prove everyone wrong.

In Thursday's win over the Miami Marlins, Uggla went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts. The two times he actually put the ball in the play were measly groundouts to third base.

Ignore the fact that Uggs' batting average is now a Major League-worst .180 for a moment and stew on this. He was given a chance to prove himself and laid a goose egg in terms of production.

So, hopefully, Uggla will find himself where he belongs in Friday's opener with the San Diego Padres – on the bench.
