Freddie Freeman limped around when he banged into the fence at Citizens Bank Park on Sunday after attempting to catch a popup in foul territory, but the good news is that the Atlanta Braves don't expect him to miss any time.
If anything, Fredi Gonzalez said Freeman may get a day or two down the road to rest any bruises he incurred.
"I think he just banged it up a little bit. He's fine. It's just one of those things I think we're going to have to manage a little bit and hopefully down the road here we can give him a couple days. But nothing major," Gonzalez told braves.com.
Freeman has been the Braves' MVP this year, driving in 96 runs with 19 homers and a .305 batting average. He's been particularly dangerous with runners in scoring position with a .440 average this season.
