Reed Johnson has already missed more than a month with Achilles tendinitis, but the Atlanta Braves outfield is hopeful that he'll be able to return in time for the playoffs.

Johnson has a history of Achilles problems and has been out since July 28 after feeling it tighten up while running to first base.

"We've kind of picked out an area in September where I've got enough time to start the rehab again, start the running, get at-bats and get myself ready for the playoffs," Johnson said on braves.com. "I feel like that's the most important thing."

Johnson has hit .263 in 66 games with Atlanta this season.
