The Paul Maholm of old took the mound tonight at Turner Field, as the Atlanta Braves played the 2nd game in a 3 game series with the Cleveland Indians, while Chris Johnson knocked in Jordan Schafer with a walk-off single in the bottom of the 9th.

Paul Maholm pitched a solid 6 innings for the Braves tonight, allowing 6 hits and only 1 earned run, via a Mike Aviles home run. Other than the homer, Maholm returned to his early season form after struggling in his first two starts after returning from the DL for a wrist contusion.

Jordan Schafer had a night of his own as well, going 3 for 4, with 2 RBI's and a stolen base that put him in scoring position for Chris Johnson in the bottom of the 9th inning to break a 2-2 tie. Schafer seems to be returning to his early season form, and has helped to fill the gaping hole left in the Braves line-up from the absence of Jason Heyward.

Chris Johnson only had one hit on the night in five plate appearances, although his one hit came exactly when the Braves needed it most. With 2 on, and 2 out in the bottom of the 9th inning, Johnson battled through a tough at-bat, fouling off a few pitches before lacing a single past the outstretched glove of Indians' shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera to score Schafer from 2nd base.

The Braves look to complete the series sweep tomorrow against the Cleveland Indians in the final game of the three game series at Turner Field.
