Paul Maholm will be activated from the disabled list by the Atlanta Braves on Thursday to make his first start in over a month, Dave O'Brien tweets.

The Braves will skip Mike Minor's start in the rotation, though not because of his 1 2/3 innings in his last start Saturday, shortest outing of his career. Fredi Gonzalez will also likely skip another young pitcher in Maholm's next turn in order to keep the youthful rotation fresh.

Maholm has been out since July 20 with a wrist contusion. He threw 5 2/3 innings of one-run baseball for Single-A Rome on Saturday.
