The Atlanta Braves still don't know when Reed Johnson will return from the disabled list. The veteran outfielder is suffering from Achilles tendonitis, and though he can hit, he still can't run, Dave O'Brien tweets.
Johnson was placed on the 15-day DL July 30 when his nagging Achilles tendon finally decided to flare up enough to keep him on the bench. He has hit .263 with 11 RBIs in 66 games for the Braves this season.
In his stead, Jordan Schafer and Joey Terdoslavich have held down the fort when it comes to extra outfielders. Schafer has only played two games since coming back from his broken ankle, but Terdoslavich has put together a .273 average and .360 on-base percentage in his first 27 career games.
