After going hitless in his first minor league rehab game Friday, Gerald Laird opted to play another rehab game Saturday and will likely be activated from the disabled list Sunday, Dave O'Brien reports.

Laird went 0-for-3 but threw out an attempted base stealer for Triple-A Gwinnett in his first game action since having a procedure for kidney stones. He then went 0-for-3 in Saturday night's game.

It's expected that the Braves will option either Todd Cunningham or Joey Terdoslavich when Laird is activated.
