Washington Nationals’ Bryce Harper Stays Classless in Comments About Atlanta Braves, Julio Teheran

Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper was miffed when Atlanta Braves pitcher Julio Teheran hit him intentionally Tuesday night after he admired a home run. But Harper kept up his general lack of class when he said if the Nationals were ahead and in the National League East race that he would "probably try and put him six feet under."

The festivities started when Harper walked five steps and watched his solo homer in the third inning before flipping his bat away. Harper, who didn't see a difference between that and Justin Upton taking his time on a homer Monday, had some harsh comments when asked if he should have charged the mound.

“I don’t think I should charge the mound when they have a 14 1/2-game lead,” Harper told CSN. “If we’re ahead a couple of games, I probably try and put him six feet under.”

While Harper said he respected Brian McCann's equally vocal confrontation as he walked down the first base line, he also took issue with the Nationals' pitchers not plunking a Braves hitter, despite umpire Joe West warning both teams.

“I think if I’m a pitcher on my team, I’m going to drill somebody," Harper said. "That’s something that is a part of the game. Yesterday was something that I think can light a fire for us.”

Unfortunately, it seems Harper won't learn until someone puts on in his ear.

I don’t know if he has a PR guy, but if he ever wants to rid himself of his crybaby image, he better get one. ‘Six feet under’ Seriously?

What a joke! I don’t even think his teammates like him. Nobody has come to his defense.
