Atlanta Braves outfielder Jordan Schafer, who has been out for over a month with a fractured ankle, is slated to start a minor league rehab stint with Triple-A Gwinnett starting Saturday, ajc.com reports.
Schafer didn't have any lingering effects in batting practice and running the bases on Thursday from the stress fracture in his ankle sustained when he fouled a ball of himself on June 26.
“It felt really good,” Schafer said.
Atlanta projects Schafer to start three or four games, starting with Saturday night against the Durham Bulls.
