A night after accumulating three hits, Atlanta Braves center fielder B.J. Upton was back to his inconsistent ways, striking out three times in his third minor league rehab game with Triple-A Gwinnett.
Upton did double in the eighth inning of Gwinnett's loss to the Charlotte Knights, but he accounted for two of Charles Leesman's six strikeouts and one of Deunte Heath's five Ks.
That brings Upton's strikeout total to four in three games, though he does have three doubles and a single in the same time frame.
The Braves are expected to activate Upton from disabled list Saturday. His Major League average this year is .177.
