The Atlanta Braves are one of the teams "actively pursuing" a trade for Houston Astros' starting pitcher Bud Norris, Jon Morosi tweets.

Just a week ago, the Braves had a surplus of starting pitching with plans of moving Kris Medlen to the bullpen once Alex Wood got stretched out and Brandon Beachy recovered from Tommy John surgery. Now, Tim Hudson is gone for the year with a broken ankle and Paul Maholm is on the disabled list with a sprained wrist.

Norris has gone 6-9 with a 3.93 ERA in 126 1/3 innings this year for the last place Astros. At just $3 million, he's also the highest paid player on the team. Norris' ERA has been inflated over his last three starts, during which he's given up 16 runs. His ERA hovered at 3.22 before that stretch.
