Jason Heyward has missed six straight starts with a strained hamstring, but the Atlanta Braves right fielder was ensuring Sunday that he would be 100 percent, as the team plans to play him in center field until B.J. Upton returns from the disabled list, Dave O'Brien tweets.

Defensive matrices have Heyward as the best defender at any position in the Major Leagues, so his speed and general fielding ability should suit him well in center. Heyward has played four career games in center field.
Heyward was strained his hamstring July 11 while sliding into third base. B.J. Upton strained a right adductor muscle the very next night while attempting a diving catch. He was later placed on the 15-day disabled list.Tags: Atlanta, Atlanta Braves, B.J. Upton, Baseball, Jason Heyward, MLB
