One of the great things about the All-Star Game, this one being played Tuesday at Citi Field, is that interaction happens between people who normally don't talk to each other. Atlanta Braves' beat reporter Mark Bowman was around when Washington Nationals' outfielder Bryce Harper talked about his favorite homer so far, which came off Jonny Venters.
That homer came on May 26, 2012, right in the midst of Venters' stretch of struggles last season, but Harper knew he still threw gas.
Harper : "I went to the plate thinking I've got to face Venters. He throws 98 w/ a slider. So that was probably one of my biggest moments."

Harper led off that fateful seventh inning with an opposite-field homer to left. The Nationals would go on to win an 8-4 final.
