B.J. Upton suffered a scary looking injury in the first inning of the Atlanta Braves' game with the Cincinnati Reds on Friday. The @Braves Twitter says he was diagnosed with a strained right adductor muscle.
B.J Upton left tonight's game with a right adductor muscle strain.
Upton remained on the ground for a couple of minutes after digging his knee into the turf after a failed half dive/half sliding catch attempt. He limped off the field under his own power.
Adding insults to multiple injuries is that Jason Heyward strained a hamstring Thursday night, and Jordan Schafer is already on the disabled list.
To account of Upton's absence, Justin Upton moved to right field, Reed Johnson moved to center and Joey Terdoslavich came into left field.
The adductor muscle resides on the inside of the thigh.Tags: Atlanta, Atlanta Braves, B.J. Upton, Baseball, Jason Heyward, MLB
