Somehow, the Atlanta Braves have never played at Kauffman Stadium. That will change Tuesday night when the Braves will play a road series against the Kansas City Royals for the first time.

Despite their inconsistencies, the Braves enter play with a six-game lead over the Washington Nationals for first place in the National League East. The Royals have also been incredibly inconsistent and sit 6 1/2 games back in the American League Central.

Who's chopping:

Dan Uggla collected a homer and a double on Sunday, so it seems he may be fully adjusted to his new contacts.

Despite getting no run support and having a 5-5 record, Ervin Santana has posted a 2.64 ERA this season. He has thrown at least seven innings in his last seven starts.

Speaking of Kansas City's pitching, they also have the best ERA (3.54) in the American League.

Who's flopping:

Despite having a good year overall, Freddie Freeman is mired in a 2-for-24 (.083) slump over his last seven games.

The Royals' downfall has been their hitting. They currently rank 13th in the AL in runs scored.

Tuesday, 8:10 on SportSouth: Braves RH Kris Medlen (4-7, 2.96 ERA) vs RH Ervin Santana (5-5, 2.64 ERA)

Wednesday, 8:10 on SportSouth: LH Mike MInor (8-2, 2.89 ERA) vs RH Luis Mendoza (2-4, 4.30 ERA)
