Justin Upton was out of the Atlanta Braves' lineup again Sunday, citing a sore right hand, ajc.com reports.

Upton, who is hitting just .205 in June, sat out Saturday's loss to the Milwaukee Brewers and tested the hand before Sunday's game in the indoor batting cages. The Braves have a day off on Monday, so this should hopefully give Upton time to heal.

“With the off day (Saturday), today and tomorrow with a scheduled day off, we can really turn the corner and be fine,” Fredi Gonzalez said.

Upton lost a good deal of pop in his bat last season while nursing a sore left thumb for much of the year, dropping from 31 homers in 2011 to 17 in 2012, though he still managed to hit .280. This year, his month and a half-long slump has dropped his average to .240.
