Otis Nixon just can't catch a break these days. First he was accused in February of running a halfway house scam, then he was arrested on drug charges in May. Now, Nixon has lost a house he owns to a fire caused by arson, ajc.com reports.
The Acworth, Ga., home caught fire at approximately 2:40 a.m. on Sunday, and his 34-year-old neighbor Lamine Diaw was arrested and charged with arson.
JanMike Mosley, a relative of Nixon's, said he came home to find the front door aflame. His efforts to douse the flames with a garden hose were rejected by the laws of physics and chemistry.
Ajc.com also reports that Nixon's sons had previously lived at the house but that it was unclear if they still lived there.Tags: Atlanta, Atlanta Braves, Baseball, MLB, Otis Nixon
