Julio Teheran took a no-hitter into the eighth inning of his last start on June 5 against the Pittsburgh Pirates. He has a 2.13 ERA in his last eight starts.
Dan Uggla, B.J. Upton and Jason Heyward have all shown signs of turning things around. Heyward finally broke the Mendoza line, while Uggla has three homers in his last two games and Upton has two homers and a .406 on-base percentage this month.
Freddie Freeman leads the team with 43 RBIs, despite missing two weeks in April on the disabled list. He's currently tied for seventh in the NL in that category.
In one of the few bright spots for this Padres club, Everth Cabrera leads the big leagues with 29 stolen bases. The Padres also lead the Majors in team stolen bases with 59.
Justin Upton still leads the voting for NL outfielders in the All-Star Game, but he's hit .179 dating back to May 14. He has struck out 33 times in the 22 games he's played in that span.
The Padres' pitching has severely let them down this sesaon. They sit at 14th in the NL with a 4.33 team ERA are ranked dead last in strikeouts.
