In one of the stranger occurrences to happen around an Atlanta Braves game in years, a 20-year-old trombone player was arrested outside Turner Field during the game on June 4, ajc.com reports.

Eryk McDaniel was arrested by Atlanta police for monetary solicitation on a sidewalk near the Ted. Police say , "McDaniel was advised several times that he could not solicit money near Turner Field."

McDaniel, originally from Cincinnati, says this is the first incident he has had with police after traveling the country and doing the same thing elsewhere. He had done research and made sure his trombone playing was legal on that sidewalk and insisted he didn't do anything wrong.

“People do give me tips,” McDaniel said. “But if I’m playing, I’m not stopping to say, ‘Hey, can I get a dollar?’ It’s not even needed.”

The police told McDaniel that having his trombone case out was equivalent to asking for money.
