B.J. Upton Day to Day with Bruised Shoulder After Being Hit by Pitch

Atlanta Braves center fielder B.J. Upton may have the worst luck of any Major League player this year. In the Braves' 10-1 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Monday, Upton was drilled in the shoulder by a Wade Miley pitch in the sixth inning, eventually resulting in his departure from the game.

Upton would score on Justin Upton's homer a few pitches later and he played the outfield in the bottom of the sixth, but he had to come out before his at-bat in the seventh when he wasn't able to swing the bat.

"I was initially good and I was alright on defense," B.J. Upton said on braves.com. "I just went to swing a bat and it was [tight]."

The Braves officially consider Upton day-to-day and it's currently doubtful that he'll play in Tuesday's game, though he may be available on Wednesday.
