The Braves come refreshed from an unexpected day off on Saturday and a win on Sunday, while the Reds are winners of three straight and sit in second place in the National League Central.
McCann's return meant the demotion of Tyler Pastornicky, but it also means that Justin Upton will get his first night off this season with Evan Gattis starting in left field on Monday.
Making things interesting for the Reds is the collision between Shin-Soo Choo and Brandon Phillips during Sunday's game with the Chicago Cubs. Choo came away with a fat lip, but Phillips was taken out later with vision problems. He told reds.com that he'd play Monday, but don't be surprised if he misses some time.
The next win for the Reds will give manager Dusty Baker 1,600 career wins, moving him into sole possession of the 18th most all-time, just ahead of Tommy Lasorda.
The Reds took five out of six games from the Braves last season, including all four at Great American Ballpark.
