The Atlanta Braves will finally have their regular starting catcher on Monday, when the team plans to activate Brian McCann from the disabled list, ajc.com reports.

McCann went 0-for-1 in his final rehab game on Sunday with Triple-A Gwinnett, putting him at 8-for-23 with four homers in seven rehab games between Gwinnett and Single-A Rome.

McCann has been on the disabled list all season while recovering from offseason shoulder surgery in October to repair a torn labrum. He is eligible to become a free agent after this season and is in the final season of his contract.

Atlanta has yet to announce who will be dropped from the 25-man roster to make room for McCann, but they are expected to keep Gerald Laird and Evan Gattis.
