On Monday, the majority of Major League Baseball will mark Jackie Robinson Day, but the Atlanta Braves and Kansas City Royals will celebrate on Tuesday because both clubs have a day off on Monday.

The Braves and Royals, as well as every other Major League team, will wear Robinson's no. 42 in honor for his breaking the color barrier in 1947 with the Brooklyn Dodgers.

Robinson's no. 42 was retired across all of baseball in 1997 at the order of commissioner Bud Selig. The only player who still wears a grandfathered in 42 is New York Yankees closer Mariano Rivera.
