The Atlanta Braves will finally get their rookie shortstop back on Monday when Andrelton Simmons is done with his rehab assignment and joins the team in Milwaukee, braves.com reports.

Simmons, who broke his hand on July 8, will play with Advanced-A Lynchburg in the Carolina League's championship series on Saturday and Sunday before meeting the Braves for their series with the Milwaukee Brewers. Simmons also helped the Hillcats clinch the North Division championship with a fourth inning home run Friday.

"When he arrives here, I don't think there will be any restrictions," Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez said.

The last week has been a whirlwind for Simmons. He played in Double-A Mississippi's season finale on Monday, played with Single-A Rome in their first South Atlantic League playoff game Wednesday and joined Lynchburg Thursday and Friday.
