Plagued Atlanta Braves pitcher Jair Jurrjens will start his minor league rehab stint Monday with Triple-A Gwinnett. It just happens that he has no idea when or in what capacity he will pitch for the G-Braves.
Jurrjens was placed on the 15-day disabled list Thursday with a strained groin to make room for Paul Maholm when he was acquired from the Chicago Cubs.
"All I know is that I'm going out," Jurrjens told braves.com. "I don't know when I'll pitch."
Jurrjens tweaked his groin on Tuesday when he slipped while making his first relief appearance after being relegated from the starting rotation. He had previously been demoted to Triple-A in April after four starts, not returning to the majors until late June.
His first three starts back went well enough, but his final two starts resulted in 14 earned runs in 5 2/3 innings.
Jurrjens is currently 3-4 with a 6.89 ERA in 11 games thiTags: Atlanta, Atlanta Braves, Jair Jurrjens, MLB
