Atlanta Braves reliever Peter Moylan pitched in a game for the first time since September in a rehab stint in the Gulf Coast League on Saturday, reports.

Moylan, who had surgery for a torn rotator cuff and labrumlast October, threw just seven pitches to the Yankees' GCL team in a perfect inning of work. He recorded a strikeout and two groundouts.

“We’ve got to just wait and see how the progression goes before we get ready to pencil him in anywhere,” Braves assistant general manager Bruce Manno said to Dave O'Brien.

“We’ve just got to be patient with it because it’s going to take some time. But the main thing is he feels great.”

Moylan is expected to make three more appearances in the Gulf Coast League this week, eventually working up to pitching on consecutive days. He could return to the big league club by late July.
