In his third minor league rehab start of the year, Atlanta Braves' veteran pitcher Tim Hudson earned his first victory in his comeback from November back surgery.
After making his first two starts with the Rome Braves, Hudson made an appearance with the Gwinnett Braves for the first time since 2009. The right-hander loaded the bases in the first inning before recording the inagural out but pitched out of the jam to finish with five strong innings on the mound. For the game, Hudson allowed just one unearned run on two hits, while walking three and striking out four as he threw 76 pitches.
Hudson is slated to make two or three more starts before a scheduled return to the big league in May.
