Atlanta Braves Acquire Juan Francisco from Cincinnati Reds in Exchange for J.J. Hoover

The Atlanta Braves acquired power hitting third base prospect Juan Francisco from the Cincinnati Reds in exchange for minor league pitcher J.J. Hoover on Sunday.

Francisco, 24, has spent seven years in the Reds system and has hit .284 his in 81 Major League games.

Though Francisco made the Reds' Opening Day roster in 2011, he spent most of the year at Triple-A Louisville, where he hit .307 with 23 doubles, 15 homers and 50 RBIs in 74 games.

Hoover, 24, was 25-19 with a 3.14 ERA in 99 appearances, including 61 starts, over four years in the Braves' farm system.
