Freddie Freeman may be out up to two weeks with his subluxed patella, but the Atlanta Braves first baseman had no problems jogging around the main field at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
Freeman wore a knee brace and was only supposed to walk around the field a couple of times, but he instead decided to test his knee and jogged for the first time since injuring his knee on Tuesday.
"I feel great," Freeman said. "Hopefully, they will let me start hitting [in batting practice] again tomorrow or Sunday."
While the Braves will take their time bringing back Freeman, his increased mobility may lead the team to bringing him back sooner than the week or two timeline that was first projected.
