Atlanta Braves Trainer Jeff Porter’s Wife Killed in Car Accident

The wife of Atlanta Braves Head Athletic Trainer Jeff Porter was killed on Saturday morning in a car accident when the family's vehicle collided with a Georgia State Patrol cruiser, as released by braves.com.

"The Braves family is deeply saddened and shocked to learn about the tragic accident today involving the family of Head Athletic Trainer Jeff porter and the death of his wife Kathy," said the team in an official statement. "Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jeff and Kathy's family, their son David and all of their friends and loved ones."

Porter, who joined the Braves in 1985 and was named Head Athletic Trainer in 2003, and his son David were both treated for minor injuries after the crash.

  1. This absolutely sucks. Jeff Porter has always taken such good care of our favorite players, and I’ve only heard good things about him.
