The Atlanta Braves will be unveiling a new uniform, Dave O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal Constitution tweeted Saturday.

Though O'Brien says the Braves have not been forthcoming with details regarding the new threads, he did say that the unveiling would probably take place in January and that the uniform would likely be an alternate, as opposed to a reboot of the current home and road sets.

The Braves currently have both home and road alternates. The home jerseys are red with a navy "Braves" script and navy numbers, while the navy road alternates only distinguish the navy "Atlanta" text and rear number with a white outline. The home "Sunday reds," as they have been called, have generally been popular since their inception in 2005. The road alternate, however, has received more mixed reviews since being introduced in 2008, and the Braves seem to not play as well while wearing it.

It would not seem far fetched for the Braves to keep a navy road alternate and incorporate red into it. Their batting practice jersey is currently navy with red script across the chest.
