According to reports by MLB.com, the Cincinnati Reds are reportedly interested in aquiring Atlanta Braves' ace Jair Jurrjens.via trade.

The Reds, who currently have six potential starters on their roster, are looking to add another pitcher to place near the top of their rotation and Jurrjens is one of six trade targets they are considering.

The 25-year-old right-hander has a 50-32 career record with an ERA of 3.35 with 447 strikeouts. Jurrjens has his best season in 2011 when he was named to his first All-Star game in the wake of compiling a 13-6 record with 2.96 ERA.

As stated above, the Reds want a pitcher to be near the top of the pitching rotation, but the team does not have the power-hitting outfielder that the Braves covet in return.
