The Atlanta Braves have placed Jair Jurrjens on the 15-day disabled list with a right knee sprain.

The righty has been bothered by inflammation in his right knee, which is the one he had surgically repaired last October. The Braves, in turn, have recalled Mike Minor from Triple-A Gwinnett.

Jurrjens posted the National League's best ERA (1.87) during the first half of the season, but he has posted a 6.26 ERA in his last four starts.

Jurrjens is expected to miss only two starts and is currently eligible to return Aug. 17.
