Prado is scheduled to test his leg strength with the team's physical therapist Wednesday morning. If all goes to plan, he will travel to Charlotte to begin a five to six-game rehab stint, starting with Triple-A Gwinnett. Gwinnett's All-Star break begins Monday, so Prado would then work another few games with Double-A Mississippi. He would then return to the Braves when they host the Washington Nationals on July 15.
Prado has not played since June 9 with a staph infection in his leg. He was hitting .277 with eight home runs and 33 RBI in the 61 games he had played.Tags: Atlanta, Atlanta Braves, Martin Prado, MLB
