Tommy Hanson will return to the Atlanta Braves' rotation Tuesday after being placed on the 15-day disabled list with shoulder inflammation. He is scheduled to face the Seattle Mariners' Michael Pineda on the hill.
"It feels good," Hanson said on mlb.com. "I just want to get back out there. I just want to get back to where I was before my shoulder started bothering me. It's been a couple weeks. I just want to get back out there and get things going again and hopefully pick up where I left off."
Hanson has been on the disabled list since June 13, after he struck out a career-high 14 batters in Houston. He leads the NL in opponents' batting average (.189) as is third in the NL in ERA (2.48).
