MLB.com reports that Tommy Hanson's shoulder inflammation is improving and that he believes he will be able to start Tuesday against the Seattle Mariners.
Hanson, who has been retroactively on the disabled list since Friday, threw 75 pitches Wednesday and had no problems. He also plans to throw a bullpen session in San Diego on Friday.
Kris Medlen also threw off a mound today for the first time in two weeks after scar tissue broke up in his elbow, acj.com says.
Medlen is recovering from Tommy John surgery and could potentially come back in mid-August.
